The History of Ornasy Lighthouse

Ornasy Lighthouse was built in response to a series of shipwrecks that occurred in the Sound of Sleat in the mid-19th century. The lighthouse was designed by celebrated Scottish engineer David Alan Stevenson, who was known for his innovative designs and attention to detail.
